Biographical Note
Ambassador Wanda Nesbitt worked in a variety of capacities in the U.S. Department of State for 38 years. Over the course of her career, she served as U.S. ambassador to three countries: Namibia, C么te d'Ivoire and Madagascar. During her three years in Namibia, she coordinated President Bush鈥檚 Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).聽Amb. Nesbitt holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in French and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a master鈥檚 degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College. She is the recipient of several awards, including three Presidential Awards for Meritorious Service and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Distinguished Civilian Service Award.
